Year 11 Netball League

The girls had their first round of their league last night. It was so lovely to see them play such beautiful, flowing netball, the last 4 years of training accumulating into a mutual understanding of where each other's space is, the central passes worked beautifully, and the team really gelled. As a result, they won their first game against Lytchett 11 V 6, and their second game against Parkstone B  8 V 7. It was wonderful to see Cerys holding her space in the circle, where perfect balls were fed in from the attack, Immy, Lucy, and Leah, often resulting in Cerys scoring goals right under the post.

Lucy was consistent at being able to bang the ball in the hoop from anywhere in the circle. At the other end the defence did not disappoint. Olivia made interception after interception,  using it to her advantage, making it really difficult for the opposition to shoot over her or get free. Trina, Olivia and Abby all marked tightly, and put up a great defence. The girl should be very proud of their performance and have made huge progress. The players of the match were Cerys and Olivia.

Well done.
