We are absolutely thrilled to share how incredibly successful our school production of Singin’ in the Rain Jr. was!
From the dazzling performances to the infectious energy on stage, our talented students truly brought the magic of musical theatre to life. Their hard work, dedication, and passion shone through in every scene, song, and dance number — we couldn’t be prouder!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support the show. Your cheers, applause, and encouragement meant the world to our cast and crew. It was wonderful to see our school community come together to celebrate the arts.
As the curtain falls on this year’s production, we’re already looking ahead with excitement to next year’s show. If Singin’ in the Rain Jr. is any indication, the future of our school’s performing arts is brighter than ever!

Congratulations to the Purbeck School Sixth Form Charity Team.
The team have been busy selling refreshments at both ‘Singin in the Rain JNR’ and the school sports day. They have managed to raise £240 for the Dorset Children’s Foundation – really well done.
Alongside money raised by the head shave for the Brain Tumour Charity and the sponsored walk for Dorset Mind, the sixth form students have raised just over £700 pounds in the last three weeks. Amazing work for great causes.
On Tuesday Year 12 students took part in a first aid and CPR training session. The students learned vital life-saving skills, including how to perform CPR, respond to medical emergencies, and use an (AED) Defibrillator. The hands-on training increased confidence to help in critical situations.
On Wednesday 16th July, a group of Purbeck School Criminology students paid a visit to Poole Magistrates Court. Despite terrible traffic, Mrs Scott got us there with time to spare.
